Biomass Boiler SystemsNEWS: The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is due to be launched which can pay you thousands for using biomass systems. click here for more informaton.
There are two main types of biomass system:
We provide a FREE assessment of your property to see if it is suitable for a biomass boiler in East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire. We can then supply and install a biomass system from our partner British ECO. British ECO is a national company that has been going since 2002 and has many installations around the country. They are MCS accredited (#1377) Wood Pellet Boilers Wood pellet boilers burn wood pellets. The wood pellets are about 5-8mm long and supplied in bulk, usually blown into a storage hopper by the delivery van. This means you end up with a system a bit like an oil boiler where you have a fuel tank that needs topping up from time to time. However the operation of the boiler is mainly automatic in that it lights and runs on demand in the same way as any other boiler system, you just need to empty the ash every so often. The advantages of a pellet boiler are ease of use, much lower carbon footprint than fossil fuels and usually lower running costs than oil, LPG or electric heating systems. Simply contact us for a FREE assessment. We will come round and assess the building then provide an estimate of the costs of installation and running costs so that we can determine the payback time. Biomass boilers will qualify for the "renewable-heat-incentive" grant when it is expected to be launched in 2011 Log Boilers Log boilers burn wood logs. The systems are largely automated so all you need to do is fill up the feeder mechanism with logs every few days and the boiler will run. You will need a storage area for the logs and this system also needs the ash emptying every so often. The advantages of a log boiler are ease of use, much lower carbon footprint than fossil fuels and usually lower running costs than wood pellet - especially if you have a cheap supply of logs. Simply contact us for a FREE assessment. We will come round and assess the building then provide an estimate of the costs of installation and running costs so that we can determine the payback time.
